Countryside Day School provided me with a superior prepared environment and creative freedom that enabled me to compile recipes that truly work. The children of the All Year Montessori environment, who I have had the privilege to work with throughout my many years of teaching, made baking come to life for me. They have taught me to take pride in everything I do . . . even the failures, and we have had plenty of those while testing out these recipes. Finally, I would like to thank my baking mentor, my mother. She made it all look so easy. Everything she made was with love and tasted wonderful every time. Thanks, mom.

Volume 2 (Garden Inspired) Recipes included: Spring Herb Biscuits, Jolly Green Muffins, Flaky Herbed Biscuits, Mini Quiches, Apple Snack Bread, Lemon Pound Cake Loaves, Jam Fruit Bars, Bacon Swiss Squares, Honey Cheddar Scones, Orange Citrus Muffins, Spiced Lemon Puffs, Brown Sugar Pear Scones, Irish Soda Bread, Good Morning Muffins, Sour Cream Cherry Scones, Cinnamon Quick Bread, and more. All were tested and compiled by Michele Aspinall and the AYM class.
